NPSA
NPSA is the National Portable Storage Association, a trade association for the portable storage industry. It serves companies that work with portable containers, trailers, mobile offices and portable or mobile storage units, and the businesses that supply them. It is a membership group, not a company that rents or sells storage to the public.
Why it matters
NPSA states its mission as advancing the industry through networking, education, marketing and advocacy. Members are Regular members, who rent, lease or sell storage products to end users, and Associate members, who supply products or services to the industry. NPSA holds an annual conference and trade show and a fall networking seminar, runs awards, and offers a community forum, training videos and a member directory. NPSA says it is dedicated to helping smaller companies grow. A common mistake is to think NPSA rents containers itself. It does not. Customers who need storage can use its finder or quote form to reach member companies, and each member sets its own prices and terms.

Associate member

conference and trade show
A conference and trade show is an event that combines education sessions with an exhibit hall where suppliers show products. NPSA holds an annual Conference and Trade Show for the portable storage industry, with networking, speakers and exhibitors. Recent shows have run about three days.
fall networking seminar
The Fall Networking and Seminar is an NPSA event held in the fall, apart from the spring conference. It offers speakers, meals and time to meet other members in person. The 2026 event ran October 4 to 6 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
member directory
A member directory is a list of an association's member companies with contact details. NPSA has an online directory and a printed one. Customers and members use it to find portable storage providers and suppliers. It may also list services, locations and products.
advocacy
Advocacy is work to represent an industry's interests to lawmakers and regulators, and to speak for it in public. NPSA says it provides advocacy leadership and guidance at the federal, state and local levels on issues of importance to the portable storage industry.
