Finding portable storage
Which unit do I need? How do I find a portable storage company near me?
Send a quote request on this site with what you need and the delivery city and state. A member company that serves your area will contact you. You can also search the NPSA member directory yourself.
What happens after I submit a quote request?
Your request goes to NPSA, and an NPSA member company near the delivery location contacts you by phone or email to confirm the unit, size, dates and price. Prices and availability come from the member, not from NPSA.
What size portable storage container do I need?
It depends on what you are storing. A room or two often fits in a smaller unit, while a whole home may need a large unit or several. Sizes vary by company, so use our size guide and let the member confirm what fits.
Do I need a permit or HOA approval for a container?
Often, it depends on where the unit goes. Many cities need a permit for a container on the street, and many HOAs limit how long one can sit in a driveway. Check with your city and HOA before delivery. Our permits guide explains what to ask.
Can I rent a mobile office for a job site?
Yes. NPSA members offer mobile offices built from storage containers, storage trailers or modular buildings. They come with insulation, finished walls, flooring, electrical wiring and lighting, a door and a window, and a 20 ft office fits in a standard parking spot.
Can I rent a refrigerated container for an event?
Yes. Many members rent reefer containers and refrigerated trailers for events, food service and seasonal overflow. Ask about power, cool-down time and placement when you request a quote.
