What are the Portable Storage Awards?
The Portable Storage Awards are NPSA’s yearly honors for companies and people in the industry. NPSA presents them at its Conference & Trade Show. The first awards were in 2023, and NPSA calls them the inaugural awards.
This guide covers the categories, past winners and the 2027 cycle.
What are the award categories?
Six categories are listed for the 2026 and 2027 cycle.

Categories have changed over time. The 2023 awards had five categories, including Humanitarian and Special Delivery. The 2024 list was longer, with an Award of Excellence. The 2025 and 2026 lists have six awards. Do not assume next year’s list matches this one.

The 2024 winners were Dave Werner of Great Lakes Kwik Space (Award of Excellence), Rick Nuckols of Container Technology Inc. (Lifetime Achievement), CARU Containers (Supplier), A-Verdi Storage Containers (Company of the Year), CHS Container Group (Innovation), Clegg Industries (Modification over $50,000) and Kickbox Leasing (under $50,000).
The 2023 winners were Joe Kent (Award of Excellence), Phil Herndon of Container Solutions (Humanitarian), Secure Rite Mobile Storage (Special Delivery), Falcon Structures (Most Innovative Use) and Equipment Management Services (Best Container Structure).

How do nominations work?
Use the nomination form that NPSA links on its awards page. NPSA also links a recorded webinar. It explains categories, nominations, judging and the ceremony.
The webinar was made for the 2024 event, and “all the process is the same for 2027.” For 2026, submissions were due February 27, 2026. NPSA will publish the 2027 deadline when it is set. Entries are likely to close before the April show, so check the awards page often.

When is the 2027 ceremony?
The 2027 ceremony will take place at the Paris hotel in Las Vegas. The 2027 Conference & Trade Show runs April 4-6, 2027. Read what to expect at the NPSA conference for more on past shows.
Does winning matter?
Winning gives you a public credential from the trade association. A win helps most when you tell customers and suppliers about it. Omni-View did that with a news post.
Read the category rules before you decide where to enter. The Modification/Structure awards are split at $50,000 retail cost, so know your project’s total cost first. Start early.
Which award fits your company?

Some past winners are both kinds of company. For example, The Container Guy and Midstate Containers shared the 2026 under $50,000 award. Kickbox Leasing won the same category in 2024 and 2025.
How should you prepare for the 2027 cycle?
NPSA has not set the 2027 deadline yet. You can still prepare now.

- Plan to be at the 2027 Conference & Trade Show in April.
