# Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is an NPSA award for a person who has contributed a great deal to the portable storage industry and has left, or will leave, a legacy. NPSA says it is open to all members, both Regular and Associate. A winner is chosen by NPSA from the nominations it receives.

## Why it matters

NPSA presents the award at its yearly awards ceremony during the conference. Its page lists the 2026 recipient as Kevin Smith, Sr. of Equipment Management Services, LLC. The award honors an individual, not a company, which sets it apart from awards such as Company of the Year. A common mistake is to think only long-time owners qualify. NPSA's wording looks at contribution and legacy. Nominations follow the process on the awards page, and NPSA decides the winners. Winners are announced at the ceremony.
